Investment Bank

An investment bank with a global brand, but a relatively small UK presence, asked us to help them recruit outside of the traditional recruitment timetable. Due to their limited employment brand on campus and a desire to run assessment centres in August, they decided that head hunting would be the most effective approach to hire high calibre candidates.

Our Approach
As our client had a very sophisticated graduate process outside of the UK we were able to leverage this work to create a graduate profile. We recommended that we look for individuals who had experience in the Banking sector but who were not attracted to the corporate culture of a large American firm. In addition we were also keen to find individuals who had lived or worked outside of the UK as part of the training process involved spending 6 months abroad.

Results
We found twelve very high calibre individuals from a range of backgrounds. Interestingly the client did not screen out on academics and as a result we were able to find some stars that other companies had overlooked. Out of the eight that attended assessment centre, six were hired!
